They often bridge the gap between design and development by turning Figma designs into interactive prototypes or production-ready code. Figma Developers work closely with designers and front-end engineers to ensure design consistency and usability across digital products. Their expertise includes working with Figma's features, plugins, and sometimes integrating Figma assets with development workflows.

Is Figma a UI or UX tool?

Figma is a design tool used by Figma Developers to create both user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) designs. It supports collaborative prototyping, wireframing, and visual design, making it suitable for designing the overall look and feel as well as the user flow of digital products.

Here's a snapshot of what you'd be doing:

  • Partnering with product owners and stakeholders to understand project goals and help shape product vision and roadmaps.
  • Sketching out and presenting user-friendly solutions through workflows and wireframes, gathering feedback and refining designs before they go live.
  • Collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to assess how products are performing, digging into analytics and user data to find ways to make them even better.
  • Providing consultative support and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
  • Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.

About You:
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and love working as part of a team.
  • You're a great communicator-whether it's writing or speaking, you know how to get your point across clearly and effectively.
  • Providing exceptional customer service is second nature to you, and you always put people first.
  • You know how to build strong, positive relationships and enjoy working with people.
  • You're self-motivated and take initiative without needing constant direction.
  • You're comfortable working across teams and departments to get things done.
  • You're ready to step into a leadership role and help others grow.
