Who earns more, a web designer or a web developer?

Web developers generally earn higher salaries than web designers because they have more technical skills in programming, coding, and software development. However, salaries can vary based on experience, location, and specific skill sets.

What does a web designer developer do?

A web designer developer creates and maintains websites by combining design skills with coding knowledge. Job description

Whether you come from a background in web development, digital marketing, software engineering, or a related technical field, you can be successful in this role. We don't require a specific degree or experience, but we're looking for translatable skills and relevant expertise. We will provide you with the training and development opportunities needed to build a career here!

About The Role:

As a Web Developer, you'll help create digital experiences that support marketing campaigns and improve the customer journey from start to finish. This role blends front-end and back-end development, with a strong focus on building engaging landing pages, interactive content, and marketing assets that connect with users and drive results.

You'll work closely with Creative and Marketing teams to bring ideas to life, turning business goals into clean, effective web solutions. Whether you're optimizing a landing page, improving workflows with integrations, or helping maintain responsive websites, your work will directly support how we connect with and serve our audience.

This position is an in-person position in Columbia, Missouri and we are only considering candidates located in or around Columbia, MO or who are willing to relocate.

Here's a snapshot of what you'd be doing:

  • Building and optimizing landing pages, email templates, and other digital assets that support marketing campaigns and improve the customer experience.

  • Developing and maintaining responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Angular, and Twig.

  • Integrating third-party APIs and marketing automation tools to streamline workflows and create smoother user experiences.

  • Partnering with designers and marketing stakeholders to turn ideas and business needs into polished technical solutions that stay aligned with brand standards.

  • Using web analytics tools to better understand website performance and user engagement, then helping improve experiences based on what the data shows.

  • Staying up to date on emerging trends in web development, digital marketing, and UX/UI design to continuously improve your work.

  • Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.

About You:

  • You enjoy solving problems and troubleshooting issues, and you're the kind of person who likes figuring out how things work behind the scenes.

  • You thrive in fast-paced, results-driven environments and know how to balance multiple priorities without losing attention to detail.

  • You're a strong communicator who can collaborate with designers, marketers, and developers to bring ideas to life.

  • Learning new technology excites you, and you're always looking for ways to grow your technical skillset.

  • You've worked with web development tools and technologies like JavaScript frameworks, PHP, HTML, CSS, or similar platforms.

  • Experience with version control, continuous integration tools, or environments like Git, Jenkins, or Perforce is a plus.

  • You understand how web development supports larger marketing and business goals and enjoy building experiences that connect with users.

  • You show up consistently and can be counted on to get the job done.
