What are Web Developers and Designers?

Their combined skills help businesses and individuals establish a strong online presence.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Web Developer and Designer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Web Developer and Designer, you need proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design principles, and a solid understanding of UX/UI concepts, often supported by a relevant degree or certification. Familiarity with content management systems (such as WordPress), version control (like Git), and design tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite or Figma) is typically required. How much do web designers get paid?

Web designers' salaries vary based on experience, location, and skill level, but the median annual pay in many regions ranges from $50,000 to $75,000. We will provide you with the training and development opportunities needed to build a career here!
About The Role:

This position is an in-person position in Columbia, Missouri and we are only considering candidates located in or around Columbia, MO or who are willing to relocate.
Here's a snapshot of what you'd be doing:

  • Developing and maintaining responsive websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Angular, and Twig.
  • Integrating third-party APIs and marketing automation tools to streamline workflows and create smoother user experiences.

  • Using web analytics tools to better understand website performance and user engagement, then helping improve experiences based on what the data shows.

  • Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.

About You:
  • You enjoy solving problems and troubleshooting issues, and you're the kind of person who likes figuring out how things work behind the scenes.
  • You thrive in fast-paced, results-driven environments and know how to balance multiple priorities without losing attention to detail.
  • You're a strong communicator who can collaborate with designers, marketers, and developers to bring ideas to life.
  • Learning new technology excites you, and you're always looking for ways to grow your technical skillset.
  • You've worked with web development tools and technologies like JavaScript frameworks, PHP, HTML, CSS, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with version control, continuous integration tools, or environments like Git, Jenkins, or Perforce is a plus.
  • You understand how web development supports larger marketing and business goals and enjoy building experiences that connect with users.
  • You show up consistently and can be counted on to get the job done.
