Job description

We are now accepting resumes/applications for EXPERIENCED Offshore Galleyhands for facilities in the Gulf of Mexico & surrounding waters. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Offshore Galleyhand to support daily food service operations aboard offshore facilities. The Galleyhand assists the Cook in meal preparation, maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards, and helps ensure a safe and organized galley environment for crew members.

This position requires the ability to work long hours in a fast-paced offshore setting while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Cook with food preparation and meal service

  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment

  • Clean and sanitize galley, pantry, dining areas, and food storage spaces

  • Receive and properly store food and supply deliveries

  • Maintain proper food handling and safety standards

  • Dispose of trash and maintain waste management procedures

  • Support inventory control and stock rotation (FIFO)

  • Follow all company safety policies and offshore regulations

  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Steward or Captain

Qualifications
  • Previous kitchen, restaurant, or offshore galley experience preferred

  • Ability to work offshore rotational schedules

  • Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset

  • Ability to lift 40–50 lbs regularly

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical

  • TWIC card required

  • Valid U.S. Coast Guard Medical Certificate (if applicable) preferred

  • Food safety certification a plus

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Ability to bend, lift, climb stairs, and work in confined spaces

  • Comfortable working offshore in marine environments
