If you like working with your hands and being physical at work, then this might be the job for you!  Homemakers is looking to add a Floor Stock member to our warehouse team.


The Floor Stock team opens, inspects, and assembles the furniture that goes out on the Homemakers showroom floor. The successful candidate will have a good working history, ability to use their hands, knowledge of power tools, and have a great attitude.


Schedule: Monday - Friday - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Pay: $19 per hour


Job Summary: Floor stock is a fast-paced position requiring individuals to think on their feet while staging our showroom with furniture in an effective and efficient manner. This position requires daily movement, care, and placement of furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and movement of furniture to and from the showroom floor.
  • Wrapping and unwrapping of furniture.
  • Care and maintenance of furniture.
  • Ensure furniture is presentable before it is moved to the showroom floor.
  • General warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Patching and painting of walls on the showroom floor.
  • Replacing and moving lighting on the showroom floor.
  • Preparation and movement of furniture in Photo Studio.
  • Properly handle the product when moving it from one location to another. 
  • Good listening and communication skills. 
  • Follow all operational and safety procedures.
  • Provides feedback to management regarding efficiencies, safety, productivity, etc.
  • The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of warehouse experience. 
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows/PC.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Physical & Environmental Expectations:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Lift, push, pull, and maneuver products and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs.
  • Repetitive bending, lifting, and arm movements.
  • Operate forklifts and work at varying heights.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in warehouse conditions including noise, dust, and temperature changes.
