Job Posting: Station Technician (Supplies / Cleaning / Organization)

Position: Station Technician
Department/Location: [93 Piquette, Detroit]
Schedule: 4 Hours a day after class.
Pay: TBD
Reports to: [Operations Supervisor / Station Manager]

About the Role

We're hiring a Station Technician to keep our station running smoothly by stocking, cleaning, and organizing supplies and common areas. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in a clean, well-ordered workspace and enjoys hands-on, task-based work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock and replenish station supplies (medical/response supplies, PPE, cleaning materials, office items, etc.)
  • Receive deliveries, check items against packing slips, rotate stock (FIFO), and notify leadership of shortages
  • Clean and sanitize station common areas (kitchen, bathrooms, day rooms, work surfaces, floors, etc.) following safety standards
  • Organize storage areas (supply rooms, closets, cabinets, shelving) and maintain clear labeling and par levels
  • Restock and stage supplies for crews as needed; keep frequently used items accessible and tidy
  • Maintain inventory logs (paper or electronic) and assist with periodic counts/audits
  • Dispose of trash and recycling and ensure regulated waste is handled per policy (if applicable)
  • Report facility issues (repairs, low stock, safety hazards) promptly

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Experience in stocking, custodial, warehouse, or facilities support preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow checklists and procedures
  • Comfortable using basic tech (phone/tablet/computer) for inventory or reporting

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, reach, and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided)
