Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CANYON RANCH COLLEAGUE:

  • Instruct Wellness and Fitness classes while ensuring guest safety, comfort, and enjoyment.

  • Leads a variety of classes including aerobic exercise, strength and endurance training, muscle toning, and stretching.

  • Provides expert guidance on proper body alignment, technique, and injury prevention.

  • Assists guests with the safe and effective use of cardiovascular and weight equipment.

  • Create an engaging, motivating class experience aligned with Canyon Ranch wellness standards.


Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience in the fitness industry.

  • Acquire a group fitness certification within 90 days of start.
  • College degree in a fitness-related field preferred (e.g., physical education, exercise science, dance), with strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.

  • Current CPR certification and basic first aid knowledge required.

  • Ability to maintain continuing education credits (CECs) to keep national group exercise and personal training certifications current.

  • Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills, with the ability to engage and work with a diverse group of guests.

WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE AS A CANYON RANCH COLLEAGUE:

  • Use of services and facilities including the spa, fitness classes, lectures, and overnight stays at all Canyon Ranch locations nationwide.
  • Generous health plan including Health, Dental and Vision after 30 days of employment.
  • 25 Days of personal and holiday time off (vacation, sick and holidays)
  • Supplemental Health care options (including Accidental, Critical Illness and Hospital care)

The pay rate for this position starts at $25.96/hour.
