Enhanced Vehicle Situational Awareness (EVSA) Field Support Specialist (Installation & Sustainment)

Reports To: EVSA Program Manager, with technical direction from the EVSA Chief Engineer

Location: Warren, Michigan, with CONUS and international travel

Clearance: Active DoD SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Travel: Approximately 20–30%, including CONUS pilot site support and possible extended deployment to Bulgaria

Compensation: $140,000–$160,000, commensurate with experience, plus standard benefits


About FED95

FED95, LLC, a Waseyabek Development Company subsidiary, is a Native American-owned 8(a) small business providing systems engineering, integration, and fielding support to U.S. Department of Defense customers. FED95 holds an active SECRET facility clearance and has past performance supporting Army and Navy IT, cybersecurity, and systems integration programs.

Position Summary

The EVSA Field Support Specialist is the boots-on-the-ground technician for EVSA installation and sustainment and will be responsible for physically installing camera and mounting kits on ground combat vehicles, troubleshooting in the field, delivering hands-on training to gaining units, and supporting sustainment after fielding is complete.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical installation of EVSA camera and mounting kits on ground combat vehicles.

• Conduct mechanical and electrical integration, functional checkout, and troubleshooting during CONUS pilot and Bulgaria fielding events.

• Support production readiness and fit-check activities alongside the EVSA Chief Engineer.

• Coordinate installation logistics with gaining unit personnel and host-nation points of contact.

• Perform post-installation quality verification and document per-vehicle acceptance records, including serial number/traceability information.

• Deliver New Equipment Training (NET) to gaining units on operation and organizational-level maintenance of EVSA.

• Support sustainment activities: spares tracking, warranty/repair-return coordination, help desk support, and a follow-up sustainment check visit to Bulgaria.

• Maintain accurate field documentation, including installation records, as-built configuration notes, and training rosters.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical/trade certification in electronics, mechanical systems, avionics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• 3+ years of hands-on field installation, maintenance, or technician experience, ideally on military vehicles or comparable mechanical/electrical systems.

• Comfortable working in and around armored/tactical vehicles, including confined spaces.

• Active DoD SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

• Willingness to travel internationally, for trips of up to several weeks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior military maintenance/technician background (e.g., ground vehicle electronics, avionics, or similar MOS/rating).

• Experience with camera/sensor systems, cabling, or vehicle electrical systems.

• Prior experience supporting OCONUS or FMS fielding events.

• Basic training-delivery experience (New Equipment Training or similar).

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; work in confined vehicle spaces; stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods; and work outdoors in varied climate conditions.
