McCoy Construction & Forestry, a John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South-Central Regions, has an opening for a Field Service Technician.
McCoy Construction & Forestry in Evansville, IN is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel within a designated service area, providing expert repair and maintenance for heavy duty construction and forestry equipment to our valued customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not in order of priority):
• Travel on location to examine machines to diagnose and repair a multitude of mechanical and system issues.
• Fabricates special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings.
• Maintains a clean work area, shop tools, truck, and equipment.
• Ensures work is performed safely and safe work procedures are followed throughout the department.
Education, Skills & Knowledge Preferred:
• Minimum of 3 years heavy equipment -customer facing experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, of heavy-duty diesel equipment
• Must possess a valid driver's license and Forklift Certification
• Ability to build relationships with customers while providing high-quality customer service.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Problem-solving aptitude
