What You’ll Do

  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial automation systems

  • Support PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, robotics, drives, and control systems

  • Respond to customer downtime and production issues (on-site and remote)

  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system problems

  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation

  • Provide technical support and customer training

  • Build strong, professional relationships with manufacturing customers This is a customer-facing Field Service Engineer role supporting industrial automation environments.


Minimum Qualifications Required

  • Experience with a proven track record in Field Service, Industrial Automation or Controls Engineering

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience working with industrial automation systems in a field service, manufacturing, or systems integration environment

  • Proven experience troubleshooting PLC-based control systems

  • Ability to travel to customer sites (local with some regional travel)

  • Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills


Preferred Experience

  • Systems integrator or engineering services background

  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA, DCS, robotics, servos, and VFDs

  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, Siemens, and similar platforms

  • Experience supporting live production environments This role is ideal for candidates with experience as a Field Service Engineer, Automation Technician, Controls Technician, or Maintenance Technician working with:

  • PLCs (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, Siemens, ControlLogix, PlantPAx)

  • SCADA systems (Ignition, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, WinCC, iFix)

  • Industrial automation and systems integration

  • Robotics (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Universal Robots, Yaskawa / Motoman)

  • Drives, servos, and motion control

  • DCS and industrial control systems
