  • You will lead and support a proactive safety culture where employees and leaders are engaged in working safely.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site safety, health, and environmental programs, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • You will support behavior-based safety programs, employee engagement activities, safety committees, and monthly safety meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, local, and corporate EHS requirements.
  • Serve as the site contact for regulatory agencies, corporate EHS teams,and third-party auditors.
  • Investigate injuries, illnesses, near misses, environmental incidents, and unsafe conditions
  • You will Identify root causes, assign corrective actions, and track completion to prevent recurrence
  • Maintain and report safety, health, and environmental metrics, including injury and illness data
  • Lead actions to reduce injury rates, environmental impact, operational risk, and compliance costs
  • Develop and maintain required safety plans such as the Emergency Action Plan, Hazardous Waste Plan, Hazardous Material Contingency Plan, Emissions Plan, and related site procedures
  • You will coordinate and deliver EHS training for employees, contractors, supervisors, and managers
  • Maintain training records and report compliance status as required
  • Maintain controlled EHS documentation, including JSAs, SDSs, safety procedures, and environmental records
  • Support contractor safety management and ensure contractors follow company EHS requirements
  • Support medical case management, return-to-work activities, and occupational health programs
  • Lead EHS reviews for new equipment, engineering projects, process changes, and management of change activities
  • Conduct EHS audits, inspections, and assessments and lead corrective actions from plant, corporate, or third-party audits
  • Support sustainability projects focused on waste reduction, water usage, energy efficiency, and environmental improvements
  • Stay current on new EHS regulations, industry practices, and aerospace manufacturing safety expectations
  • Act as a change agent to improve EHS processes, simplify systems, and strengthen accountability

  • You will need a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of management experience in an operations/manufacturing environment
  • Moreover you must have exceptional leadership skills and ability to mentor and motivate, a real passion for EHS
  • You will need strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state/local environmental and safety requirements
  • Experience managing safety programs, environmental compliance, incident investigations, and corrective actions
  • Experience supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including shift and weekend support as needed
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, influence, and engage employees and leaders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, HR, and senior leadership
  • Master's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field, preferred
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, precision manufacturing, coatings, metals, or advanced manufacturing, preferred
  • Environmental compliance experience, including air permitting, wastewater, hazardous waste, stormwater, and chemical management, preferred
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems, preferred
  • Experience with industrial hygiene programs such as noise, respiratory protection, chemical exposure, ergonomics, or air monitoring, preferred
  • Experience with wastewater treatment plant operations or compliance, preferred
  • You will need CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, OSHA 30, ISO Lead Auditor, or similar EHS certification, preferred
  • Experience leading sustainability or environmental improvement projects, preferred
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience, preferred
