Job description

AS A FIELD PROJECT MANAGER
You will assist the Field Management with organization and preparation of documents for respective projects and project correspondence/communication, and be able to generate supplemental documents (ex: drawings, schedules, spread sheets, cost comparisons, project submittals, as-built drawings, change orders).
FIELD PROJECT MANAGER DUTIES INCLUDE the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
  • Preparing and processing memorandums, submittal document preparation, spreadsheets for cost analysis and breakdowns.
  • Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs.
  • Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of construction or extractive workers.
  • Confer with managerial or technical personnel, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.
  • Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities.
  • Order or requisition materials or supplies.
  • Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.
  • Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports.
  • Assign work to employees, based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs.
  • Analyze worker or production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.
  • Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery.
  • Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Drafting/Design or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Adobe Acrobat
  • Able to read and understand project blueprints
  • General understanding of the construction management process and construction project life cycle
  • Be able to take criticism, as well as communicate effectively via documentation (i.e.: emails, drawings), phone, and in person
  • Possess general knowledge and understanding of piping and mechanical schematics, concrete construction, and unit paving
  • Must possess great organizational skills and be able to multitask and self-manage yourself with several tasks at once. Be able to prioritize and maintain a work schedule
