What is a field manager?
A field manager, also known as a field service manager, oversees a group of employees who routinely travel to and work at customer sites. This position requires the skills necessary for hiring, firing, and evaluating staff members who work on job sites outside of the company office. Other duties include gathering feedback directly from customers and using it to evaluate and improve the work of the team. This type of position can appear in just about any industry that routinely employs remote workers. The qualifications for this career typically include a bachelorβs degree in business management and several years of experience in a related industry.
