Position Summary:

Field Fastener, a global industrial distributor has immediate openings in our Assembly & Kitting area in our Warehouse located in Columbus, OH. We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic, energetic, and committed.  The ideal candidates will have experience performing light industrial tasks that would include assembly and kitting.  Attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to use tools and equipment needed to create assemblies are preferred skills.

Location: Columbus, OH

FLSA Hourly/Salary: Starting Pay $16-$18 hourly

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in the continual development and improvement of warehouse standard operating procedures.
  • Perform general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, and supplies.
  • Exhibit a personal commitment to accuracy and quality of work.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment.
  • Create kits to meet customer requirements.
  • Use a variety of hand tools to create assemblies to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
  • Meet daily receiving, production, and shipment requirements.
  • Take an active role in supporting and maintaining safety programs.
  • Actively embrace and promote a positive work culture.
  • Perform periodic bending, kneeling, twisting, lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, and Experience Required:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Polite and professional manner.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a warehouse or manufacturing operation.
  • Commitment to fulfilling all work expectations and requirements.
  • Proven track record of results.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Ability to work with others in a manner that promotes teamwork and a positive work environment.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.
  • Time management skills, delegation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, well organized.
  • Ability to drive results with or without a great deal of direct supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.
