Field Service / Repair Technician
Clearwater, FL
$24–$26/hour
Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Overview
We’re hiring a Field Service / Repair Technician to support equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across customer sites. This is a hands-on role for someone who can diagnose issues at the component level, work independently in the field, and keep equipment running without disruption.
What You’ll Do
  • Troubleshoot, test, and repair equipment down to the component level
  • Perform on-site diagnostics and real-time repairs
  • Use diagnostic tools and hand tools to resolve technical issues
  • Provide phone and email support for troubleshooting
  • Document service work, parts usage, and repair outcomes
  • Track and log all maintenance activity accurately
  • Analyze failure trends from returned units and field repairs
  • Conduct inventory counts and resolve discrepancies
  • Communicate with internal teams and customers clearly and professionally
Travel Requirements
  • Local travel throughout the Clearwater and Tampa Bay area
  • Occasional overnight travel
  • Limited out-of-state travel
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
Education & Experience
  • Technical school certification or 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing or service environment
  • Certification in soldering standards (IPC or similar) or ability to obtain certification if required
  • Ability to follow written procedures and use measuring devices
  • Experience using testing and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot to the component level
  • Strong communication skills are critical
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform hands-on work daily
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, and climbing
Work Environment
  • Field-based work at customer locations
  • Exposure to mechanical and electrical systems
  • Moderate noise levels
