Overview:

At NoBull Energy, our Field Engineers are critical to the success of utility-scale solar and renewable energy construction projects. This role serves as the bridge between project management, field operations, subcontractors, and engineering teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with all quality standards and contract requirements.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced construction environments, is highly organized, solutions-driven, and willing to take ownership in the field. This position is heavily involved in daily operations, production tracking, project documentation, quality control, scheduling support, subcontractor coordination, and problem-solving on active construction sites.

Field Engineers at NoBull Energy are expected to be hands-on leaders who can adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and support large-scale renewable energy projects from mobilization through commissioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day field construction activities on utility-scale solar and renewable energy projects
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, subcontractors, and craft personnel to maintain project productivity and schedule
  • Assist with execution planning, work sequencing, and daily field logistics
  • Monitor production progress and identify potential delays, risks, or inefficiencies
  • Participate in daily meetings, site walks, and operational planning discussions
  • Assist with project startup, mobilization, and closeout activities
  • Maintain accurate project documentation
  • Support schedule updates and progress reporting
  • Assist with turnover packages and project closeout documentation
  • Track completed work against project budgets and productivity goals
  • Assist with inspections, audits, and quality verification processes
  • Identify and communicate deficiencies or rework items
  • Support implementation of corrective actions in the field
  • Act as a liaison between field crews, subcontractors, engineering teams, and management
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, and workforce support
  • Assist with procurement tracking and inventory management
  • Communicate project updates, constraints, and field issues proactively
  • Promote and uphold NoBull Energy’s safety culture and expectations
  • Participate in safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations
  • Ensure crews follow site-specific safety procedures and OSHA standards
  • Support proactive hazard identification and mitigation efforts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent construction experience may be considered
  • 2-4 years of construction or renewable energy experience preferred
  • Utility-scale solar experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and field operations
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or similar construction software preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to relocate to jobsites as needed throughout the US.
