Job description

Description
As Field Service Technician, you'd be supporting our customers by inspecting, testing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical power distribution equipment. You'll work hands-on with a wide range of systems, deliver exceptional service, and be a trusted resource in the field representing Sunbelt Solomon.
What You'll Do
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low, medium, and high-voltage electrical distribution equipment.
  • Perform electrical testing on transformers, breakers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
  • Respond to customer needs, including occasional emergency calls with professionalism and urgency.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by following company and customer safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
  • Properly manage, check in/out, and care for company tools and test equipment.
  • Travel locally and regionally, with periodic overnight assignments.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; technical training or associate degree in electrical trades preferred.
  • NETA certification preferred; will substitute 2+ years of relevant work experience on commercial or industrial electrical projects
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and control schematics.
  • Skilled in the use of industrial electrical test equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet background and drug-screen requirements.
  • Physical capability to work outdoors, lift up to 75 lbs., operate tools, and use required PPE (arc-flash gear, fall protection, respirators, etc.).
  • Eligibility to work in the US without need for employer sponsored VISA (work permit)
