Surgical Technologist Prn

Surgical Technologist support patient care in the perioperative setting by assisting surgeons and nursing staff before, during and after surgical procedures. As an integral member of the team, Scrub Techs make meaningful differences in patients' lives. What you will do in this role:

  • Assist the OR team in the care of patients, equipment, and supplies.
  • Provide care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Handle the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
  • Ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and maintain the sterile field.
  • Assist the surgeon and/or surgical assistant during the operative procedure by carrying out tasks including sponging, suctioning, cutting suture, holding retractors, and manipulating the endoscopic camera.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT)
  • CORT preferred
  • BLS required
  • One to two years previous OR experience preferred
