We build and connect technologies to help protect people, property and places. Our solutions foster the collaboration that's critical for safer communities, safer schools, safer hospitals, safer businesses, and ultimately, safer nations. Connect with a career that matters, and help us build a safer future.
Department Overview
CRFS (Cambridge Radio Frequency Systems) is a global leader in RF spectrum monitoring, direction finding, and geolocation technology. Founded in 2007, CRFS designs, builds, programs, and deploys advanced hardware and software solutions that enable military operators, national security agencies, spectrum regulators, and system integrators to detect, identify, and exploit RF signals in the most complex and contested electromagnetic environments.
Our RFeye ecosystem comprises rugged RF sensors, direction-finding arrays, and the RFeye Site, Mission Manager, and DeepView software suite. Together they deliver actionable RF intelligence and full-spectrum situational awareness across fixed, mobile-tactical, airborne, and in-building deployments. CRFS is an agile and flexible company. We work closely with customers, end users, and system integrators to design, refine, and continuously improve the specific capabilities they need to understand and exploit the electromagnetic environment.
Job Description
Position Summary
CRFS seeks a versatile and proactive Senior Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to serve as the primary technical bridge between our engineering team and our diverse customer base. In this role, you will provide expert-level support, hands-on training, and troubleshooting for complex RF systems and networked solutions. • Technical Training: Maintain and deliver comprehensive training to end users, ranging from basic system and software operation to advanced system use.
  • Diagnostic Troubleshooting: Perform diagnostics and high-level repairs on CRFS equipment both in the office and in the field.
  • Field Integration and Support: Deploy to customer locations to support, configure, and assist with the installation of CRFS equipment.
  • Technical Reports: Develop test plans and summary project reports to support customer exercises and field activities.
  • Sales Support: Support Sales Teams with system capability demonstrations and technical advice to advance sales objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Proactively manage all demonstration equipment and inventory to ensure it is calibrated, updated, and ready for deployment at all times.
  • Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the customer, relaying field data and feature requests back to the appropriate internal teams to drive product improvement.
  • Travel Requirement: Up to 50% travel, primarily domestic with some international, to customer sites and trade events.
  • Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.

Why Join Us?

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: A proven ability to learn new technologies rapidly and the discipline to work effectively with minimal supervision.
