Job description

This position is remote - candidate must reside within the United States.
NY, NJ, CT area preferred.

The Junior Digital Designer in this role will design visually appealing web pages that engage the target audience, ensure an optimal UX/UI experience, and provide a seamless user flow for the online buying process, design email campaigns and other digital marketing, which could include motion/animation, within a team environment.

This person will possess/perform the following:

  • Applies artistry skills and design fundamentals.
  • Applies principles of web and mobile (iOS, Android) design, for responsive and
    human-centered web design.
  • Utilizes site animation and special effects to enhance the user experience.
  • Creates wireframes, visual (hi-fidelity) mockups, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts and functionality.
  • Hands off flawless production-ready files for development and coding, including necessary annotations.
  • Creates compelling image compositions and image editing using Photoshop.
  • Designs on brand email campaign creative.
  • Designs other digital marketing creative to support business needs.
  • Incorporates motion/animation into designs where needed.
  • Maintains an organized Style Guide of components

The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires a creative thought process, strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open, clear communication.

The person in this role would have a clean visual design aesthetic and strong typography skills.

Collaboration with our cross-functional teams will be instrumental in taking each project or task from conception to delivery. Responsibilities include creating timeframes and work schedules to meet deadlines.

Required Skills:

  • Skilled in Figma, including auto layout, components, variants, variables and tokens
  • Skilled background in graphic design, visual design, or related field
  • User flow with an understanding of the online buying process
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with strong Photoshop and image composition skills
  • Ability to create animation and video, using tools such as Adobe After Effects and Premier
  • Basic knowledge in HTML and CSS
  • Digital photography skills are a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word / Excel
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Strong attention to details, and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
