At HCT Control Technology, a Fidelity company, we're helping facilities run smarter, safer, and more efficiently through cutting-edge building automation and control solutions.
We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Representative who thrives on building connections, solving problems, and closing deals.
If you're energized by creating new opportunities and seeing complex projects, come to life, this is your chance to join a high-impact team that rewards hustle and results.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Proven outside B2B sales experience, ideally within technical, industrial, or construction-related products or systems.
  • Experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or industrial automation preferred
  • Excellent relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with contractors and engineers-understanding their workflows, priorities, and project language.
  • A self-starter mindset with energy, resilience, and drive to succeed in the field.
  • Business acumen to discuss ROI, lifecycle value, and total cost of ownership.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within your territory (50-75%).

Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Knowledge of protocols like BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks.
  • Exposure to industrial or life sciences environments (pharma, biotech, cleanroom, manufacturing).
  • Established relationships with contractors or engineers in the field.

What You'll Do:
  • Prospect, qualify, and develop new business by building strong relationships with mechanical contractors, general contractors, consulting engineers, and facility owners.
  • Partner early in the design phase to influence specs and deliver smart, value-driven control solutions.
  • Respond to RFPs, craft compelling proposals, negotiate terms, and close opportunities.
  • Drive account growth through renewals, upsells, and cross-sells.
  • Collaborate with internal operations, engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure flawless delivery.
  • Represent HCT at trade shows, conferences, and industry networking events.
  • Track your pipeline, forecast accurately, and hit or exceed your sales goals.

Why You'll Love It Here
We believe that a fulfilling career goes beyond just a paycheck. Here's how we make sure our team thrives both professionally and personally:
  • Professional Development: Access to World Class continuous learning opportunities, workshops, and certifications.
  • Career Advancement: Clear pathways for growth within the company, with mentorship from industry leaders.
  • Generous PTO: Ample paid time off to relax, recharge, and explore your passions outside of work.
  • Health & Well-being: Comprehensive Health Plans: Including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Competitive pay: Base pay range of $95,000 - $110,000+. Commensurate with experience. This range represents a general guideline; however, several factors are considered when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
