Job description

What We Need:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fiberglass Chop Gun Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and applying fiberglass materials to create high-quality composite products. This position will be located at our N. Blettner Ave. Hanover, PA plant.
A Day in the Life of:
  • Pulls parts and prepares molds for the layup process.
  • Applies fiberglass and/or gelcoat to products, following job-specific spray patterns to ensure even coating within tolerance specifications.
  • Maintains, cleans chop/gel gun.
  • Makes gun adjustments to ensure proper spray ratios according to product specifications.
  • Follow start-up, shut-down, and preventative maintenance procedures, completing any associated forms or checklists.
  • Inspects product during and after application process, ensuring proper thickness and completing any associated forms/checklists.
  • Handles and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with all environmental laws and OSHA regulations.
  • May be required to assist with any part of the lay-up process.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements
What Makes You Qualified:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in fiberglass manufacturing.
  • Ability to read blueprints, decimals, and fractions.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and instruct team members.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.

Must Haves:
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
