Sea Fox Boat Company is looking for skilled Gel Coat Technicians who take pride in quality workmanship and understand that every great boat starts with a flawless finish. If you enjoy hands-on work, thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and have an eye for detail, we'd love to meet you!
What You'll Do
As a Gel Coat Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing molds and applying gel coat that becomes the beautiful exterior finish of every Sea Fox boat.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing molds by cleaning, waxing, and inspecting surfaces before application
  • Mixing gel coat materials according to specifications
  • Applying gel coat using spray equipment while maintaining proper thickness and coverage
  • Inspecting finished surfaces for cosmetic defects and making repairs as needed
  • Operating and maintaining spray guns, pumps, hoses, and related equipment
  • Following production schedules while maintaining exceptional quality standards
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Working closely with production teams to meet daily goals
  • Following all safety procedures and wearing required PPE
What We're Looking For
Needed Qualifications:
  • Experience with gel coat spraying, fiberglass manufacturing, automotive painting, marine manufacturing, composites, or industrial coatings
  • Ability to identify and correct cosmetic imperfections
  • Experience using spray equipment and mixing materials
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
  • Reliable attendance and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to wear respirators and other required PPE
