Job description

Job Title:ย Fiber Splicing Technician โ€“ Ribbon Splicing

Location:ย (Travel Required)


Position Overview:

We are seekingย experienced and detail-oriented Fiber Splicing Techniciansย withย proven ribbon splicing experienceย to join our growing team.

This position plays a critical role in supportingย large-scale data center and fiber infrastructure projectsย across multiple states. We are looking for technicians who take pride in delivering precise, high-quality splicing work and are ready to travel as needed for ongoing nationwide projects.

All travel expenses, housing, and per diem will be provided.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Performย fusion splicing and ribbon splicingย for high-count fiber optic cables (including up to 3456-count).

  • Operateย fusion splicing equipmentย and related fiber optic tools efficiently and safely.

  • Conductย fiber testing, troubleshooting, and validationย using OTDR, power meters, and inspection scopes.

  • Maintainย accurate documentation and labeling, ensuring all splices meet project specifications and quality standards.

  • Follow allย safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company proceduresย on every site.

  • Collaborate closely with team members and project leads to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery.


Qualifications:
  • Proven hands-on experienceย in ribbon splicing (required).

  • Strong understanding ofย fusion splicing techniques, fiber optic testing, and quality control processes.

  • Ability toย read and interpret fiber maps, splicing diagrams, and work orders.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to precision and reliability.

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work in outdoor or data center environments.


Preferred Experience:
  • Multiple years of experience splicingย high-count ribbon fiber cables (1728, 3456, etc.).

  • Experience working onย data centers, backbone fiber builds, or large-scale telecom infrastructure.

  • Familiarity withย documentation standards and QA/QC workflows.

  • Comfortable working onย travel-based projectsย with fast-paced schedules.
