Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring QA/QC Specialist in Rayville, LA. The QA/QC Specialist ensures that all network cabling and telecommunications installations meet rigorous industry standards, client specifications, and safety regulations. This role is responsible for conducting detailed field inspections, documenting deficiencies, and collaborating with project teams to implement corrective actions for high-quality project delivery.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30 to $40 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive QA/QC inspections of network cabling installations, including copper and fiber optic systems.
  • Perform detailed job site walk-throughs to verify that workmanship meets industry standards such as TIA/EIA and BICSI.
  • Document all inspection findings, maintain quality logs, and track the resolution of identified deficiencies.
  • Verify that materials, equipment, and installation methods align with approved project scopes and submittals.
  • Collaborate with field crews and project managers to address non-conformance issues and recommend corrective measures.
  • Review and validate cable test results and as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide updates on quality trends and potential risks to project timelines.
  • Support the implementation of quality control procedures and checklists to ensure consistent delivery across all project phases.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance or quality control specifically within the telecommunications or low voltage construction industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling installations and termination methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in using cable testing tools and interpreting complex test data.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to convey technical findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software for documentation and reporting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, and navigate active construction sites for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights or in confined spaces as required by site conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including equipment and ladders.
  • Exposure to various environmental elements including heat, cold, and noise depending on the job site location.
  • Repetitive use of hands and fingers for documentation and performing inspections.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $30 to $40 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
