Job description

Project Coordinator

Location: Balch Springs, TX

6-month contract to perm

Overview

This Project Coordinator role will support construction, project management, and splice teams across active telecommunications and utility infrastructure projects. This role is heavily focused on project documentation, closeout packages, reporting, and construction drawing support. The primary responsibility is performing QC reviews and uploads of Closeout Package documentation, including PDF As-Built Construction Drawings and installation photos based on project scope. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with construction documentation, Excel spreadsheets, PDF drawing edits, and project tracking tools in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Management, Construction, and Splice teams with daily project coordination activities
  • Attend in-person and virtual meetings with customers and internal teams
  • Coordinate communication with field inspectors, customer representatives, city staff, and regulatory agencies
  • Provide project coordination, logistics support, and project oversight
  • Perform QC review and upload of Closeout Package documentation
  • Responsible for generating, updating, editing and maintaining PDF As-Built Construction Drawings and Redlines using project and field data provided by the team.
  • Review installation photos, prints, and project files for accuracy and completeness
  • Collect, organize, and maintain construction closeout documentation for customer delivery
  • Identify and communicate project risks, delays, blockers, and outstanding items to the Project Management team
  • Support remediation updates with field crews as needed for billing and closeout activities
  • Collect and manage project data, documentation, and client deliverables
  • Process daily production reports from supervisors and subcontractors
  • Translate field production activities into billing units and customer reporting formats
  • Create production reports, track milestones, monitor remaining quantities, and share daily project metrics with the team
  • Maintain milestone trackers and assist with forecasting task completions and delays
  • Support vendor PO requests and municipal permit applications
  • Create and maintain project folders, reports, and documentation using Excel, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, Adobe, and other project tools
  • Analyze construction drawings, photos, and field documentation and incorporate information into reports, documents, and custom maps

 Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in project coordination, construction administration, telecom construction, utility construction, or infrastructure support
  • Ability to read and understand Right of Way (ROW) and/or Utility Construction Drawings
  • Experience editing PDF Construction Drawings
  • Bluebeam experience is highly preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Smartsheet experience is a plus
  • Experience working with As-Built drawings, redlines, closeout documentation, or project documentation
  • Experience resizing, editing, and organizing electronic photos and files
  • Ability to forecast, track, and report on task completions, milestones, and delays

Preferred Experience

  • Telecommunications, fiber, OSP, utility, or infrastructure construction experience
  • Understanding of underground and/or aerial utility installation
  • Experience with Verizon reporting tools or customer portals is a plus
  • Familiarity with permitting, billing support, production reporting, and project closeout processes
