Fiber Optic Installation Electricians - Travel & High Pay Available!

United Trades of America is hiring Journeyman Electricians and Apprentices with fiber optic installation experience for work based in Huntsville, AL.
This is a hands-on, outdoor job working on overhead utility lines with travel opportunities!

Responsibilities:

  • Install and lash fiber optic and coaxial cable on utility poles.

  • Operate bucket trucks and derrick trucks safely.

  • Perform cable terminations, splicing, and testing.

  • Follow electrical safety standards, including roadway traffic control procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Fiber optic installation experience required.

  • Bucket truck and pole climbing experience.

  • Clean driving record (Class A CDL preferred).

  • No felonies; must pass background check.

  • Must have your own tools.

Compensation:

  • Pay based on experience: $25-$55/hour.

  • Mandatory install production: 15k-22k feet per week.

  • Per diem available for travelers.
