Job description

Fiber Network Services is a communications contractor offering a full range of fiber optic and cable network services. Servicing Cox Communications, Comcast Cable, Segra and Suddenlink in the States of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and in Washington D.C., we are a trusted resource for cabling and maintaining high-speed internet connectivity via fiber optic and coaxial systems.
We are looking for a Broadband Coax Splicer for our Hendersonville, NC, team.
Job Responsibilities (But not limited to):
  • Splice, balance, activate and troubleshoot forward and reverse signal paths for new coax construction and BAU projects. Typical Coax sizes are .625 and .875.
  • Capable of optimizing nodes and familiar with harmonic nodes
  • Track and report daily work via digital methods, Email, Excel, etc.
Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • 3+ years of experience preferred
  • Will require knowledge and proper safe usage of Aerial lift Bucket Trucks as well as the ability to use ladders. The ability to climb/hook is optional.
  • Will require the ability to safely work within Public Right-of-way, including proper use and knowledge of applicable PPE.
  • Ability to use a TDR
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others and work within a team environment
  • Ability to read and understand technical instruction
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Able to pass a background check and drug test
  • Ability to work regularly outdoors in different weather types.
  • Ability to occasionally be On-Call for after-hours emergency work
