Job description

We are looking for aย Residentย Managerย to support the construction of a dark fiber conduit line across Virginia. This job will be working in tandem with a Constructionย Managerย and an Inspector. Theย Residentย Managerย should be based out of the Roanoke, VA area and expect to travel to the construction sites across Virginia roughly 80% of their time. The following are the primary role and responsibilities:
ย 
  • Inspect fiber optic construction sites to ensure they comply with contract terms and local, state, and federal regulations for safety and compliance
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure that the work meets or exceeds the specifications outlined in the project plan
  • Communicate with contractors and other construction personnel to ensure they are meeting project schedule requirements
  • Reportย any discrepancies or problems with the construction site to Constructionย Managerย for resolution
  • Identify and recommend improvements to the construction process to enhance efficiency and maintain project objectives
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all construction activity and project status
