Job description

Experienced Carpenter - Residential Remodeling
Semper Fi Custom Remodeling | Black Mountain, NC
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (40 hours/week)
Pay: $25-$35/hour (based on experience), paid weekly
Job Sites: Typically within 1 hour of Black Mountain, NC
Build High-Quality Homes-With Skill, Integrity, and Pride
At Semper Fi Custom Remodeling, we don't cut corners. We are an award-winning residential remodeling company known for world-class craftsmanship, professionalism, and integrity, and we're looking for an Experienced Carpenter who takes pride in doing things the right way-from structure to finish.
If you're a well-rounded carpenter who values quality, respects clients' homes, and wants to work with a team that holds high standards (and supports the people who meet them), you'll fit in here.
What You'll Do
As an Experienced Carpenter at Semper Fi, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering exceptional remodels by:
  • Performing skilled carpentry work across all phases of residential remodeling, including framing, trim, and finish work
  • Executing assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and with pride in craftsmanship
  • Collaborating with Project Managers and team members to meet schedules and quality expectations
  • Communicating job progress and updates using JobTread, our project management system
  • Anticipating job site needs and adapting as projects evolve
  • Maintaining clean, safe, and respectful job sites

Who You Are
You're a seasoned professional who takes ownership of your work and aligns with our values:
  • Highly Skilled: 10+ years of professional residential carpentry experience
  • Well-Rounded: Skilled across multiple phases of remodeling work, with strong finish skills
  • Comfortable on Camera: Willing to appear in occasional marketing content (photos/videos) to showcase our craftsmanship
  • Self-Starter with Strong Time Management: Stays productive and organized on-site, even when working independently with limited day-to-day supervision
  • Dependable & Trustworthy: You show up, follow through, and take responsibility
  • Independent & Team-Minded: Able to work on your own while supporting project goals
  • Mentor-Minded: Willing to share knowledge and support less-experienced team members
  • Prepared: Owns a complete set of professional carpentry tools

Requirements include a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check.
This Role Is Not for You If...
We believe clarity saves everyone time. This role may not be the right fit if:
  • You prefer production speed over quality craftsmanship
  • You struggle with precision, detail, or consistency
  • You resist communication, documentation, or project systems
  • You're uncomfortable being held to professional standards on occupied job sites
  • You prefer working without structure, accountability, or teamwork

At Semper Fi, skill, dependability, and integrity are non-negotiable.
Why Work at Semper Fi
We take care of skilled tradespeople who take pride in their craft:
  • Competitive hourly pay, paid weekly
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Tool stipend and safety boot stipend
  • Company-provided uniforms
  • Training and career growth opportunities
  • A supportive, team-first culture

Our Values Matter Here
We are guided by:
  • Faithful - Unwavering commitment to our clients, teammates, and work
  • Integrity - Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching
  • Professionalism - World-class conduct on every job, every day

Our carpenters are expected to be skilled, dependable, and trustworthy, and to let their work speak for itself.
Equal Opportunity Employer
Semper Fi Custom Remodeling is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating an inclusive, respectful workplace for all employees.
