What are FETs (Field Effect Transistors)?

FETs, or Field Effect Transistors, are a type of transistor used to amplify or switch electronic signals. They operate by controlling the flow of current using an electric field, which is applied to the gate terminal. FETs are widely used in electronics due to their high input impedance and low power consumption, making them ideal for use in amplifiers, switches, and digital circuits. There are several types of FETs, including MOSFETs and JFETs, each with specific applications in modern electronic devices.
