Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support the public with strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring agility, reliability, and integrity to each shift while working as part of a caring, innovative team focused on people first.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or public agency representatives.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of ferry terminals, boarding areas, waiting spaces, waterfront perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, observe passenger and visitor activity, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior according to post instructions.
  • Support crowd management and orderly movement during arrivals, departures, delays, and/or service disruptions while following Allied Universal procedures and client-directed protocols.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
