Job description

Black Swan Logistics is a Contracted Service Provider for FedEx Ground. We make last mile deliveries to homes and businesses under FedEx Ground branding from the FedEx Ground terminal located at 300 Vista Ridge Drive, Kyle Tx 78640.

We are accepting applications for full-time salary, and full-time or part-time hourly Delivery Drivers. This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering, maneuvering, and/or carrying packages that typically weigh 50 lbs. and may weigh up to 150 lbs. Drivers must have excellent customer contact and driving skills. Drivers are also expected to comply with FedEx appearance guidelines.

Benefits Included:

We offer a 4-day work week for both hourly and salary drivers, and we have opportunities for 5- and 6-day work weeks for salary drivers. Full-time employees work 8 to 12 hours per day and schedules vary (typically Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday) depending on route.

Opportunities for advancement are available for the right candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Load all packages onto assigned vehicle in the morning
  • Safely and efficiently drive vehicle to delivery locations (businesses and residences)
  • Greet customers in a friendly fashion (when applicable)
  • Deliver packages in an appropriate drop-off area (e.g. front door), obliging customer requests and obtaining signatures when necessary
  • Problem-solve loading and delivery issues, navigational discrepancies, and customer requests
  • Conduct daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and report defects to Lead Driver or Manager
  • Clean out vehicle at the end of each day
  • Clean vehicle exterior quarterly
  • Monitor vehicle for maintenance (oil changes, tire replacement, etc.) and notify Lead Driver or Manager
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
