Job description

Develops safe, legal, reliable and cost-efficient trip pairings, bid lines, and monthly schedules for use by FedEx pilots that are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and Company policies and procedures. Provides statistical, comparative, and trend analysis of the output produced by the automated systems used by the department.

Essential Functions

  • Ensures the department is meeting KPI objectives set by management.
  • Monitors the software applications used by the department to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency and report any known defects to appropriate personnel.
  • Assists in writing requirements to enhance software applications and testing new software releases.
  • Provides Business Expertise To Management And Individual Contributors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree/equivalent in aviation, business or a quantitative discipline.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) years related experience in a flight operations environment to include, statistical analysis, modeling or computer applications.

Experience in the use of computerized management information systems, Including integrated PC applications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of FARS relating to pilot flight & duty times.

Knowledge of pilot work rules.

Strong analytical and communication skills.
