Role Purpose Statement

Schedule and dispatch work crews

Main Accountabilities

•    Monitors the proper staging of the galleys on the dock making sure that all galleys are available for uploading based on the dock sheet;
•    Directs the actual loading of the galleys into the trucks and extends help to teams under time constraint;
•    Coordinates with the controller/supervisors on any changes of flight assignment to respective teams;
•    Ensures that all equipment changes are being staged properly and meets the appropriate service ready time;
•    Verifies and covers all missing items from the galley before the same is actually loaded in the trucks;
•    Ensures on-time dock departure of the teams in coordination with the dispatcher;
•    Regularly checks the cooler and the entire loading dock for carts or items that might have been left by the teams;
•    Covers any missing or requested items in the field when the same is not available in the Ramp Lead van;
•    Caters extra-sections or even regular flights when manpower is shorthanded;
•    Ensures that dock movers and loaders are cleaning the truck boxes before loading flights on the truck.  
•    Ensures that dock, dock bays and ramp are kept clean and picked up at all times. 
The Dispatcher/Controller/Lead is also in charge of the following;
•    Maintains a temperature log of food items in the cooler and at the dock for all airlines
•    Checks the phone messages for overnight sick-calls and calling another personnel for coverage;
•    Ensures that all flights for the first bank is properly staged for on-time dock departure; and,
•    Helps the supervisor for manpower requirement for the next shift and the following day.

The Dispatcher/Controller/Leads are also in charge of the following;
•    Takes care of FedEx/UPS/Admiral Club Deliveries and special request from customers 
•    Stages ice and dairies for the red-eye flights;
•    Ensures the cleanliness of the dock during and at the end of the shift;
•    Performs special functions such as water service/charters in cases of very late flights and other special late-night requests from the airlines.
