Job Description:

Summary

The Assistant Coach is primarily responsible for completing tasks supporting the specific ICC intercollegiate sports program as assigned by the head coach.

Compensation for the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach is $3,600.00 seasonally.

Essential Functions

This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. Some incumbents may not perform all the duties listed while in other cases related duties may also be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Assist the head coach with conducting and supervising the golf sports training, practices, and contests.
  • Provide assistance with recruiting efforts for the Golf team.
  • Represent the Golf team and college to prospective athletes from high schools, colleges, and appropriate athletic associations.
  • Assist with weight room programs for Golf team members.
  • Assist with the supervision and running of the Golf simulator room during practices.
  • Ensure strict adherence to NJCAA bylaws within the program's operations.
  • Set up for practice indoor or outdoor at the request of the head golf coach.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

  • Associates degree.
  • High School or Collegiate playing experience.
  • Golf simulator experience.
  • Knowledge of NJCAA golf rules/guidelines.
  • Strong Leadership and motivational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • CPR/AED (defibrillation) certification.
