Department: Food Service   Job Status: Full Time   FLSA Status: Non-Exempt   Reports To: Food Service Manager  Grade/Level: Classified   Amount of Travel Required: Varies   Job Type: Regular   Positions Supervised: Food Service Workers   Work Schedule:     220-day contract. Hours vary and include a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. However, the daily schedule may vary depending on the needs of the district.      POSITION SUMMARY Food Service Assistant Managers are responsible, under the direction of the Food Service Manager, for the daily operation of cafeterias in schools throughout the district. Their responsibilities include supervision of food service workers while preparing, cooking, and serving large quantities of food for students and staff and maintaining safe and sanitary conditions in accordance with state health regulations.     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable Accommodations Statement To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.
