Job description

Support statutory responsibilities for sex and violent offender registration. You'll research and analyze court documents, coordinate with local and state law enforcement agencies, and maintain accurate records in state data systems - work that directly supports public safety across Indiana communities.
What You'll Do

  • Research and collect court documents related to offender registration
  • Analyze and interpret legal records for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate regularly with local and state law enforcement agencies
  • Enter and maintain data in designated web portals and government data systems
  • Take on additional duties as assigned by division leadership
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred, or equivalent experience)
  • Strong data collection and data entry background
  • Working knowledge of the Indiana Criminal Code and the Criminal Justice System
  • Comfort reading and interpreting court documents and legal terminology
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Sound judgment when handling sensitive, detailed information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with Triple I criminal history records, probable cause affidavits, conviction/sentencing documents, presentence investigation reports, and court orders
