Job description

Bennett Thrasher is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the firm's internal FP&A operations. In this newly created role, you will work directly with our Senior Finance Manager and CFO to help build and implement processes and procedures and evaluate AI technology.
Our investments in our people, technology, and devotion to exceptional client service continue to differentiate our firm in the evolving public accounting/advisory industry.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll serve as a finance business partner responsible for forecasting, strategic analysis, executive reporting, and decision support. This role drives financial planning processes, develops actionable insights, and influences leadership decisions across the firm.
What You'll Do:
  • Play an instrumental role in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Help develop long-range financial plans.
  • Help build and maintain workforce and revenue planning models.
  • Assist in preparing executive and board-level financial reporting.
  • Develop financial narratives and business insights.
  • Present results and recommendations to firm leadership.
  • Lead profitability and margin analyses.
  • Evaluate strategic investments and growth initiatives.
  • Analyze pricing, utilization, realization, and leverage metrics.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities as needed.
  • Serve as primary finance partner to service line and department leaders.
  • Facilitate quarterly business reviews.
  • Challenge assumptions and provide recommendations.
  • Drive accountability around budgets and financial performance.
  • Develop dashboards and self-service reporting tools.
  • Enhance KPI frameworks and performance measurement.
  • Support financial systems and planning tool initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience.
  • Advanced financial modeling expertise and Excel skills.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Power BI, Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or similar tools preferred.
