ENTRY LEVEL ACCOUNTANT

About the Role

A & Associates is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Entry Level Accountant to join our corporate accounting team in West Palm Beach. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or someone with up to two years of accounting experience who is looking to build a long term career in corporate accounting. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast paced environment. This position offers hands on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll support, and month end accounting while working alongside experienced accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintaining the general ledger and recording financial transactions
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Process vendor invoices and customer payments
  • Assist with month end and year end closing activities
  • Prepare account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with payroll processing and payroll reporting
  • Prepare financial reports, spreadsheets, and management reports
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Assist with special accounting projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Zero to two years of accounting experience
  • Internship experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with payroll or accounts payable and receivable
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and reconciliations
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus
  • CPA eligibility or plans to pursue CPA certification is preferred but not required
