Job description

Overview

Bluewater Federal is looking for a Deputy Program Manager to support the USAF at Maxwell AFB.

The Base Maintenance (BMx) Family of Systems program provides critical lifecycle support for enterprise U.S. Air Force logistics and maintenance systems that enable global mission readiness and sustainment operations.


Responsibilities
  • Support the Program Manager with day-to-day execution and coordination of the BMx FoS contract.
  • Manage program operations across Agile execution, staffing coordination, CDRL management, release governance, operational reporting, and customer engagement.
  • Provide oversight of execution cadence, operational alignment, issue escalation tracking, staffing continuity, and ART performance across all BMx systems.
  • Work closely with the Release Train Engineer, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, DevSecOps Platform Lead, Cybersecurity Lead, and Functional SMEs to ensure modernization, sustainment, migration, and support activities remain aligned with Government priorities and mission needs.
  • Support risk mitigation activities, surge response coordination, transition planning, staffing governance, and operational metrics analysis.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of program managment experience supporting enterprise IT programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, management, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting Agile software sustainment programs.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • Experience in Agile delivery support, program controls, performance management, CDRL coordination, and risk management.
  • PMP, SAFe Agilist, and/or ITIL Foundation certifications preferred.
