Job description

DESCRIPTION:

Serves fellow associates in the employee dining room and, provides fast and friendly customer service to associates. Assists in other areas as requested. Maintains a clean and safe working environment and follows all production and storage guidelines and procedures, ensures recipes have been followed and orders delivered in a timely manner. Cook III is a coach and a mentor to Cook I and Cook II associates. Assist Sous Chefs as directed and helps to coordinated assigned activities, functions in the venue. This position must be able to work in all stations in the kitchen. Implements all OSHA, ServSafe and HACCP standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum 5 years related experience and/or culinary training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have working knowledge of quality food and food preparation, as well as a positive attitude in training and working with others.

Must have working knowledge of all kitchen equipment and kitchen knives.

A La Carte and Banquet or volume food service experience preferred.

Ensure the functionality, safety and proper use of all kitchen equipment.

Knowledgeable of sanitation practices to ensure standards and regulations have been followed.

Advanced knowledge of weights, measures, and mixing techniques and ability to follow production sheets and recipes.

Must be able to use oral, written and reading communication skills of the English language.

Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to stand and walk continuously throughout shift.

Must be able to stoop, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.

Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Other physical requirements include but are not necessarily limited to reaching, grasping, and pounding, stretching, and kneeling

Must be able to work in close quarters or small rooms; occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditions.

Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
