Job description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours to fulfill the demands of the company.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protecting sensitive information.
  • Conduct oral presentations and communicating technical information in understandable terms.
  • Communicates work requirements and obligations to drivers.
  • Provide local trainers with instruction and guidance.
  • Teach and supervises classroom training content to guarantee compliance.
  • Deliver driver training including New Hire Orientation; Refresher and Post-Accident Training and safety courses; supervise and arrange re-certification and re-training.
  • Generates and maintains all necessary driver files.
  • Keep the location leadership team abreast of safety performance, and issue timely notifications as needed.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture in safety performance by collaborating with the site, resulting in all leading and lagging indicator improvements with a working understanding of safety measurements and formulas such as TRIR, DOT accident rates, and so on.
  • Investigate events, accidents, and work-related injuries, including accident investigation, accident reports, accident files, and accident register, and follow up with the claim's office and adjusters as needed.

Job Qualifications
Education:
  • High School Diploma

Experience and Competencies:
  • Waste Collection and Recycling Experience - at least 3 years preferred.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Experience developing and implementing safety program plans and procedures; conducting investigations, analyzing data, and identifying and recommending corrective action.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive material.
  • Knowledge of DOT policies, OSHA standards, and ADA requirements
  • Basic computer skills; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
