Job description

Job Title: Human Resources Intern          

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Director of People & Culture/ Recruiting Specialist

Position Summary:

We are excited to be hiring two HR interns for remainder of our 2026 season. One intern will focus on supporting the generalist functions of the department, while the other will support the recruiting and onboarding functions.

The Human Resources (HR) Intern role is designed to provide hands-on experience for college students who are interested in pursuing a career in the HR field.

Additional details about each position are provided below.

HR Intern (Generalist Focus)

This intern position will report to the Director of People & Culture and serve as a generalist HR Intern, supporting the day-to-day functions and operations across the People & Culture team. This position will work on average 20 hours per week, lasting until the end of the season (Mid December). There may be weekends, evenings, and holiday hours. This is an hourly paid internship, and college credit is available if needed.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide support to the People & Culture team on a full spectrum of activities involving benefits, culture, diversity equity and inclusion, training and development, payroll, health and wellbeing.
  • Assist with payroll-related tasks including audits and reporting.
  • Assist with staff check-in for FCC home games and other TQL Stadium events.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Participate in a variety of TQL Stadium staff events including recruiting and training sessions.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as required.
  • Support and contribute to efforts to create a culture that is welcoming to all.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

HR Intern (Recruiting & Onboarding Focus)

This intern position will report to the Recruiting Specialist and support the recruiting and onboarding team.

This position will work on average 15 hours per week, lasting until mid to late October. There may be weekends, evenings, and holiday hours. This is an hourly paid internship, and college credit is available if needed.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with recruiting talent for FCC and TQL Stadium roles.
  • Assist with onboarding new staff including coordinating new hire welcome days, onboarding, and orientation schedules.
  • Support the overall functions and logistics of the FCC Internship Program.
  • Participate in a variety of TQL Stadium staff events including recruiting and training sessions.
  • Travel to local events, meetings, and career fairs.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as required.
  • Support and contribute to efforts to create a culture that is welcoming to all.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Professional demeanor and appearance including effective oral and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of human resource policies, laws, and regulations
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Power Point, Excel, and Word
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment

What You'll Need:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, Business, or a related field
  • This position requires you to work home FC Cincinnati games and other TQL Stadium events, as such you must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the game schedule indicates.
