Are you an experienced aviation professional who is ready to lead a team, strengthen safety performance, and help create an exceptional FBO experience?

Ascension FBO is seeking a hands-on Line Service Manager to lead our line service and customer service operations. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Line Service Manager, Line Service Supervisor, Lead Line Service Technician, Senior Line Service Technician, or aviation ground-operations professional ready to advance into management.

The Line Service Manager plays a critical role in the daily operation of our FBO by leading employees, overseeing aircraft ground handling, maintaining safety and service standards, and ensuring every pilot, crew member, passenger, and customer receives professional and responsive service.

Position Objective

The Line Service Manager is responsible for the leadership and daily management of the line service and customer service departments. This position oversees FBO operations, ramp safety, aircraft ground support, employee development, customer experience, equipment readiness, fuel quality control, and regulatory compliance.

Success in this position requires a visible, hands-on leader who can develop a strong team, create effective daily operational plans, solve problems, and maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused environment.

Leadership and Operational Responsibilities
  • Lead daily FBO line service, customer service, ramp, and aviation ground-support operations.
  • Oversee aircraft fueling, towing, marshaling, wing-walking, parking, hangar operations, and other aircraft ground-handling activities.
  • Provide operational leadership with a strong focus on understanding and executing company safety SOPs and Flightline Fundamentals.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Ascension FBO’s proprietary Prep7 and CrewOne frameworks and ensure they are consistently applied.
  • Create and communicate daily operational plans that support safe, efficient operations and customer-service excellence.
  • Conduct daily shift huddles, safety meetings, and monthly employee meetings.
  • Keep employees informed of company news, operational changes, safety expectations, and upcoming events.
  • Build collaboration between customer service and line service so both departments operate as one team.
  • Review staffing schedules daily to ensure coverage meets operational and customer demand.
  • Monitor employee performance, uniform standards, professionalism, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Conduct daily Ascendant observations and provide timely coaching and feedback.
  • Partner with the General Manager and Human Resources to address employee observations, performance concerns, and safety violations.
  • Conduct daily practice sessions and on-the-job coaching to strengthen employee skills, confidence, and operational readiness.
  • Develop direct reports, identify future leaders, and build an accountable, service-focused team.
Safety, Equipment, and Facility Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs of the ramp, hangars, fuel facilities, and customer areas.
  • Inspect facilities and employees for compliance with safety, cleanliness, and uniform standards.
  • Perform daily inspections of ground-support equipment, equipment positioning, and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate lockout/tagout procedures when needed and monitor PPE inventory and availability.
  • Oversee fuel management, aviation fuel quality control, fuel-farm procedures, and required fuel QC inspections and audits.
  • Maintain compliance with company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, airport regulations, and applicable aviation ground-safety standards.
  • Lead winter preparedness planning and other seasonal operational-readiness activities.
  • Respond to safety audits, document corrective actions, and ensure identified concerns are resolved.
  • Maintain accurate training records, inspection documentation, safety records, and operational files.
Customer and Community Relationships
  • Create tailored solutions when customers experience service concerns or operational challenges.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with pilots, flight crews, based customers, airport personnel, Titan Aviation Fuels representatives, and other business partners.
  • Conduct regular meetings with customers and airport stakeholders to understand needs, resolve concerns, and strengthen working relationships.
  • Set the standard for professional, responsive, and personalized customer service throughout the FBO.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage employee schedules based on flight activity and operational demand.
  • Complete operational self-audits and training-record audits.
  • Maintain required safety and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation reporting and claims documentation with Human Resources.
  • Maintain OSHA 300 logs and related workplace-injury records.
  • Monitor fuel inventory, fuel quality records, PPE supplies, and equipment needs.
  • Perform other leadership, operational, and administrative duties as assigned.

  • At least three years of progressive experience in FBO operations, aviation line service, aircraft ground handling, ramp operations, or a similar operational environment.
  • Previous experience as a Line Service Manager, Line Service Supervisor, Lead Line Service Technician, Senior Line Service Technician, Ramp Supervisor, or comparable team leader is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates with senior-level line service experience and demonstrated leadership responsibilities are encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant operational experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of aircraft fueling, towing, marshaling, ramp safety, fuel quality control, and ground-support equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead employees, develop direct reports, and build effective teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced aviation environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Demonstrated reliability and a consistent employment history.
Physical and Scheduling Requirements
  • Ability to work in and around an active airport ramp and aircraft environment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Ability to frequently walk, stretch, bend, sit, stoop, reach, and grasp.
  • Ability to respond quickly to operational, safety, equipment, and customer-service concerns.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, or additional hours based on operational needs.
