Job Title: Line Service TechnicianJob Description

The Line Service Technician provides professional ground support services for aircraft, passengers, and flight crews. This role focuses on safe and accurate fueling, towing, and marshalling of aircraft, as well as detailed interior and exterior cleaning and general ramp support. The technician delivers courteous, responsive customer service while ensuring aircraft, vehicles, and equipment remain secure, clean, and well maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Fuel aircraft in strict accordance with established specifications and safety procedures.
  • Tow and marshal aircraft safely on the ramp, ensuring clear communication and proper positioning.
  • Ensure aircraft are properly chocked, locked, and secured at all times while on the ground.
  • Assist passengers, pilots, and customers with baggage handling, plane-side vehicle coordination, and special requests.
  • Support pilots with pre-flight and post-flight aircraft services, including positioning, fueling, and basic ground support tasks.
  • Top off fuel trucks as needed and complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately.
  • Operate ground support equipment safely and efficiently, including tugs, fuel trucks, and other ramp vehicles.
  • Direct people, drivers, and flight crews on the ramp to maintain safety, organization, and efficient traffic flow.
  • Perform full-service interior detailing of aircraft and vehicles, including cleaning seats, carpets, windows, and lavatories according to specifications.
  • Perform full-service exterior detailing of aircraft and vehicles, including washing and applying wax to exteriors as required.
  • Sanitize aircraft cabins thoroughly, including seats, carpets, windows, and lavatories, following established standards.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and materials needed for fueling, cleaning, and ground support operations.
  • Communicate arrival times, service updates, and completion status clearly and promptly to appropriate parties.
  • Maintain company vehicles and equipment in clean, safe, and operational condition.
  • Perform a variety of manual tasks such as facility cleaning, vehicle washing, and aircraft cleaning when required.
  • Take on multiple duties during downtime and support other operational needs when line service is not required.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, ramp procedures, and operational protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience with aircraft towing and safe aircraft movement on the ramp.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of manual tasks, including facility cleaning, vehicle washing, and aircraft interior and exterior cleaning.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license that can be maintained in good standing; restricted licenses are not acceptable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with passengers, pilots, and team members.
  • Customer service experience with a focus on professional, courteous, and solution-oriented support.
  • Ability to step up and down stairs, ladders, tugs, vehicles, and fuel trucks safely and repeatedly.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder level, including waving marshalling wands for aircraft guidance.
  • Ability to stoop below aircraft wings to place and remove chocks and perform related tasks.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in an active ramp environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to perform other duties when line service is not required.

The role requires frequent standing, walking, climbing on and off vehicles and equipment, reaching above shoulder height, and stooping beneath aircraft wings. The schedule for this position is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
