UNIT DESCRIPTION
The Administrative Management and Support Unit (AMSU) Mission to support organizational success by providing robust customer collaboration, technology, and workforce solutions that maximize efficiency, service quality, and partner values.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be a current, permanent FBI employee
  • Must be able to obtain an SCI clearance
  • Some travel may/Frequent travel may be required
  • Selectee will be required to complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450 annually
  • Selectee will be required to complete form FD-887, Request for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Occasional travel may be required.
MAJOR DUTIES
  • Serve as an advisor and consultant to executives, managers, and operational personnel by performing functions which include a range of planning, research, analysis, and administrative management functions addressing highly complex issues relative to the Bureau.
  • Analyze administrative and operational data using excel to generate reports and support business decisions. Create and maintain data dashboards to track key administrative metrics and performance.
  • Conduct highly complex process management/program analyses to identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, eliminate redundancies, develop performance measures, and ensure processes meet valid administrative/program requirements.
  • Research policies, directives, and regulations to evaluate and develop new ideas and techniques to affect changes in methods, procedures, and the organization.
  • Manage programs assigned to the unit to include but not limited to updating program specific databases and reviewing SOPs.
  • Coordinate with a variety of internal and/or external sources to conduct extensive research/management studies.
  • Prepare detailed recommendations for implementation of new or modified systems, policies, procedures, or organizational changes to include appropriated performance measures.
    Recommend to management officials short-term plans which will substantially improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work methods and procedures.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Limited Movement: Policy has been implemented wherein support employees entering a position may be precluded from moving to another position within the Bureau through reassignment or change to a lower grade for a minimum of 12 months. HRD will waive this limited movement policy for qualified employees, who have received an official notification letter that their current position is being relocated due to an organizational restructuring initiative, so those employees can compete for a position elsewhere. Voluntarily leaving a position with a relocation incentive may result in loss of that incentive. Please notate that you have received an official notification letter within your application.
  • Probationary employees are precluded from being considered for all job opportunities until 12-months of their 24-month probationary period has concluded. Probationary employees may be considered for competitive vacancies that are advertised within their respective division or field office after serving 90 days within the FBI.

  • Relocation expenses will be borne by the selectee, except FBI employees returning from LEGAT assignment. Employees returning from LEGAT assignments must advise the Staffing and Administrative Unit / International Operations Division of their application for this position.
  • Relocation expenses MAY be borne by the FBI. Candidates receiving a transfer of physical location, whether at the expense of the FBI or not, will be required to complete a one-year commitment to the assignment, prior to moving to a new position at the FBI. The 12-month waiting period begins the day an employee reports for duty at the new location. (if applicable)
