Job description

The Electrical Engineer will provide design, development, repair, and troubleshooting efforts in the Circuit Card Test and Repair Systems (CCTARS) Lab at NAVAIR Lakehurst N.J. Tasks involve the review of designs, design changes, technical data, documentation, and schematics, troubleshooting, fault analysis and reverse engineering of circuit boards, equipment, and hardware.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Engineering Degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Experience with Pinpoint Diagnostic & Test System and development of high-quality diagnostic test routines.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics development, troubleshooting, modification, wiring, diagnostics, fault analysis and repair of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)

  • Must have demonstrated at least intermediate level skills associated with electronic repair, modifications, soldering techniques, utilization of lab equipment, and drawing development.

  • Experience with Protrack and PinPoint diagnostic systems

  • Security Clearance is required with Interim Secret clearance required to start

  • Travel up to 15% may be required.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  •  Knowledge of Aircraft Launch and Recovery Systems and Aviation Support Equipment.
  • Experience with ship installed systems, Aviation operations and diagnostics.
  • Experience conducting Reliability and Maintainability.
  • Familiar with NAVY ST821-AG-PRO-010 Technical Manual and NAVAIR 16-30USM676-1 instruction.
  • Familiar with the DoN Systems Engineering Process and the DoN Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) policy and process.
