Job description

The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking one or more qualified individuals to serve as on-ground Adjunct Faculty members for the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. The teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level during daytime hours. The chosen individuals will teach a variety of Psychology courses and complete assessment documents as directed by the Social and Behavioral Science Chair. Appointments are offered on a per course basis. Continued contracts are contingent upon department needs. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to Christ-centered Liberal Arts education, Christian service, the mission of Faulkner University, and student support. Initial contract offerings may begin as early as Spring 2026.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Psychology or a related degree with 18 graduate hours in Psychology; terminal degree preferred
  • Teaching experience at the college level or demonstrated teaching ability
  • Experience in using LMS (Blackboard, Canvas, etc.)
  • Active member of the church of Christ preferred
