Essential Job Functions:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations in the assembly, shipping, and receiving areas.
  • Ensures employees are provided with clear instructions/training along with the correct tools and PPE required.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to all assembly, inventory, shipping, and receiving employees.
  • Assists in assessing part quality and troubleshooting quality concerns; provides escalated quality inspection of materials received and parts produced within department.
  • Participate in the daily operations by attending briefing meetings and providing daily outputs.
  • Point of contact for all warehouse operations
  • Reviewing and approving timecards for accuracy.
  • Managing and tracking PTO requests to ensure proper production coverage.
  • Complete performance evaluations annually or as needed.
Assembly:
  • Schedule and prioritize jobs to be completed in packing amp; assembly based on category, due date, and customer request.
  • Required to meet both efficiency and quality standards at all times.
  • Print and distribute job travelers to various departments.
  • Schedule purchase orders and maintain warehouse supply levels.
  • Update jobs in Epicor including but not limited to customer orders and manufacturing receipts.
  • Advise QA when an MTR needs to be created per requirements.
Shipping:
  • Create packing slip and/ or MTR for customer order when required.
  • Prioritize and advise shipping department according to customer needs.
  • Participate in job/sales order closing.
Receiving:
  • Advise and inform receiving when a PO must be prioritized.
Inventory:
  • Adjust inventory in Epicor as needed.
  • Conduct end-of-year inventory audit.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness and ability to meet performance expectations in a multi-tasking and team-oriented environment.
  • Must be flexible and able to transition to various tasks quickly or as requested.
  • Should present a positive attitude and willingness to help achieve company goals.
  • Must be dependable and reliable.
  • Must possess a safety-first mindset.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred 5 years’ experience working in Epicor, or a similar ERP system.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to work in noisy environments.
  • Must be able to work in environments exposed to seasonal weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, walking, and lifting sometimes in difficult positions for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to push up to 100 pounds on rollers or wheels.
